Appointed in virtue of a Royal Decree (Dahir) among personalities reputed for their professional experience in Law, administrative and financial management, the Secretary General of the Authority supervises, under the authority of the President, the administration of the Authority, whose organization and functions are defined by the Authority’s internal regulations.

 

The Secretary General supports the President in the fulfilment of his functions. In this capacity, and under the authority of the President, he ensures the effective functioning of the Authority’s administration and coordinates the activities of its services, manages and safeguards its official records and serves as the Secretary to the Authority’s council.

Ahmed LAAMOUMRI

Mr. Ahmed Laamoumri, born in Taounate in 1959, was appointed by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, on Monday October 24, 2022, as the Secretary General of the National Authority for Probity, Prevention and fight against Corruption.

 

Mr. Ahmed Laamoumri holds an engineer degree in «Legal and industrial metrology» from School of Metrology in France, and an Engineer Degree in quality management from Paris School of Mines in France. He also holds a diploma as Public Sector Audit Advisor from the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA) and the International Institute of Public Administration (IIAP), as well as an International Auditor diploma in the field of Quality, in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.

 

 

 

Mr. Ahmed Laamoumri has held several positions of responsibility within the regional offices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and later within the central administration of the same Ministry, where he served as Head of the Legal and Industrial Metrology Division and Head of the Industrial Product Quality Control Division. He subsequently joined the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he held the positions of Head of the Organisation and Programming Division and Head of the Training and Cooperation Division.

 

In 2009, Mr. Laamoumri was appointed Director of Administrative Modernisation at the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Modernisation, and in 2013, Director of Studies, Communication, and Cooperation.

 

From 2015 to 2022, Mr. Laamoumri served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

 

He is also a member of the Public Governance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as well as a member of networks of public administration officials and several national and international networks working in the fields of anti-corruption, public governance, public service quality, and training institutes.
