The National Authority for Probity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption (INPPLC) concluded its “Probity Village” caravan during the 2026 summer camp season, following an awareness-raising and educational tour across several regions of Morocco. A total of 2,536 children and adolescents took part in the caravan’s activities. 

Since its launch in July 2026, the “Probity Village” caravan has visited summer camps and holiday centers in Tangier, Sidi Kaouki, El Haouzia, Souiria, Jebha and El Hajeb. The caravan conveyed a clear message: building a society rooted in probity depends not only on laws, oversight and enforcement, but also on education and the promotion of values and behaviors that make probity an everyday choice and an established civic practice. 

The initiative reflects the Authority’s approach to broadening the scope of corruption prevention by investing in younger generations as partners in fostering a culture of probity. It also seeks to raise awareness that preventing and fighting corruption is a shared societal responsibility by promoting respect for the law, the public interest, a sense of responsibility, honesty and legal rules. 

At each stage, “Probity Village” provided an open space for learning, interaction and discussion. Through simple, interactive and age-appropriate educational methods, children and adolescents explored the concepts of probity, transparency, responsibility and the public interest, relating them to everyday situations and behaviors. 

The caravan went beyond explaining corruption and raising awareness of its risks. It sought to foster an early understanding of probity as a foundation of citizenship and help children distinguish between ethical conduct and practices that undermine the rights of others or the public interest. The caravan brought this message to children and adolescents from across Morocco, including Casablanca, Meknes, Fez, Taza, Taounate, Marrakech, Settat, El Kelaa Sraghna, Larache, Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Smara, Agadir, Beni Mellal, Rabat, Kenitra, Boujdour, Guelmim, Tetouan, Sale, Temara, Oujda, Azrou and Mohammedia, as well as other cities and regions. This gave the initiative nationwide reach and enabled participants from diverse geographical and social backgrounds to engage with a shared set of values. 

The “Probity Village” caravan forms part of the Authority’s vision of prevention as a key pillar in the fight against corruption, with education for probity serving as a driver of sustainable change in societal behavior. Under this approach, effective prevention goes beyond addressing corruption risks once they emerge. It also requires fostering the values and behaviors that reduce society’s vulnerability to and tolerance of corruption. 

From this perspective, the Authority considers investing in the probity of younger generations an investment in the probity of both the State and society. Building a generation that is aware of its rights and duties, values the public interest and rejects unethical conduct is essential to achieving lasting change in citizens’ attitudes towards corruption. 

With the conclusion of its 2026 summer tour, the “Probity Village” caravan has completed this year’s activities, but its message endures. The Authority remains committed to making probity a shared societal culture and to ensuring that corruption prevention is not only a matter of rules and institutions, but also of awareness, behavior and everyday practice. The aim is to educate generations that regard probity as an integral part of their responsibility towards themselves, society and their country.
